Service Animals
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Anime Tyler staff may ask only two questions when the service provided by an animal is not obvious:
-
Is the animal required because of a disability?
-
What work or task has the animal been trained to perform?
Staff cannot:
-
Ask about the person’s disability
-
Request medical documentation
-
Require a special ID or proof of training
-
Ask the animal to demonstrate its abilities
In Texas, service animals are defined as dogs specially trained to assist someone with a disability. They are allowed in all public areas, except in rare cases where the animal’s presence would cause a safety or operational concern (e.g., barking during a performance).
Event Space Policy
-
Only ADA-recognized service animals are permitted inside the Anime Tyler event space.
-
Pets that are not service animals should remain in guest rooms or designated pet areas.
-
If a pet or service animal becomes disruptive (e.g., barking, growling, aggressive behavior), owners may be asked to remove the animal from the hotel or event space.

Dress Policy
Anime Tyler – Cosplay & Dress Code Policy
Anime Tyler is a family-friendly event. We welcome attendees of all ages, including children, so all costumes and attire must be appropriate for a general audience.
We love and encourage cosplay of all kinds—anime, comics, video games, movies, and beyond—but we ask that all participants follow our PG-level dress guidelines to ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere for everyone.
Dress Code Guidelines
-
Costumes must provide adequate coverage of all private and intimate areas.
-
Attire that is overly revealing, see-through, or designed to simulate nudity is not permitted.
-
“Blue Figure” guideline: If your costume would be considered indecent on a public street under common community standards, it is not appropriate for Anime Tyler.
-
Offensive or hateful symbols, language, or imagery are prohibited.
-
Props or costume elements must also comply with Anime Tyler’s Prop & Weapons Policy.
Special Notes for Cosplayers
-
Swimsuit-style costumes are allowed only if they provide full coverage of intimate areas and are worn with proper support garments.
-
Body paint alone is not considered adequate coverage; it must be paired with appropriate clothing.
-
Remember that Anime Tyler is held in public spaces where you will encounter hotel guests, children, and non-attendees—please dress accordingly.
Enforcement
-
Any attendee found in violation of this policy will be asked to change into appropriate attire.
-
Failure to comply may result in removal from the event without a refund.
-
Anime Tyler staff reserve the right to make final decisions regarding costume appropriateness.
We ask all participants to help us maintain a welcoming, respectful environment where everyone—families, fans, and fellow cosplayers—can enjoy the event together.
